About Cara Reynolds

Mother. Wife. Educator. Business Owner.
After Cara earned her Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Ashland University, she moved to Charlotte County with her husband, Josh, in January 2006. She began her career in education when she was hired at Port Charlotte Middle School in February 2006. In August 2008, she transferred to Punta Gorda Middle School where she taught 8th grade language arts, U.S. history, and the TAG classes. She earned her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the American College of Education in 2011, as well as earning her Gifted Endorsement from the State of Florida. Cara is currently holds a professional teaching license from the State of Florida to teach English, Social Science, and Gifted Education.

Cara and her husband have been married for 15 years and have three sons together, Brady, Blake, and Brantley. All her children attend Charlotte County Public Schools and have since they entered kindergarten. When the 2022-2023 school year begins, she will have a child attending a CCPS high school, middle school, and elementary school. Cara and her husband also own and operate the largest privately owned restoration company in southwest Florida.
Cara enjoys spending time with her three boys and husband, watching her boys play sports, skiing, family movie nights, and relaxing on the waters of Charlotte Harbor.
